First protest of April

Tomorrow, just like most Thursdays during the regular school year, the SUNY Potsdam SGA Assembly meets to discuss the usual repertoire of bills and funding requests that need to be challenged/approved. However, it's not often that an Assemblymember skips a meeting as a sign of protest. This year's Executive Board elections is really turning out like a craphole, and thus, I'll pull a Keith Olbermann on the issue. Especially the vice presidential candidates (except for

I'm in one of those moods today where I'd prefer to treat everyone like a dick primarily over the fact that I'm just overwhelmed by things right now. But it's also the fact that I'm pissed off that I know very few of the SGA Senators, and that the way SGA operates means that I as an Assemblymember am kept out of the loop. In all regards though, my patience for most of SUNY Potsdam has wavered, and thus, graduation is looking better than ever before.

That and I'm just grumpy today. So, I'm skipping my first two classes of the day.

P.S.

I'm with Sayward and Duprey on this issue. Too many Republicans I believe are under this notion that women who choose to get abortions make rash decisions on the issue. I would expect that all women who elect to undergo an abortion think hard about it.

P.P.S. I'll post a list of things I dislike tomorrow. Airline alliances are one thing on the list.

Thoughts on April 3rd

I've finally admitted to myself that the thought of leaving college kind of scares me. The thought of not being in school is pretty scary. I'm 21, I have as much sexual experience as James Brennan from the movie Adventureland, I have a desire to settle down, well, it's not a good picture. But luckily for me, I've got some good goals ahead of me.

First, I plan to head down to New York City during the fall to get a job selling and fixing electronics. I'd give almost anything to be an Apple genius. Second, I want to save up enough money to partake in a tax auction. I want to buy land somewhere in Upstate New York. Instead of leaving the state because it's broken, I want to fix it.

So, on some other notes, here's my rants:

1)
Wow Obama. What are you doing? You have a slight shot of winning a second term, and you're going to blow it? Everyone knows my take, having the President as both the head of state AND head of government stinks. The concept of a parliament and a prime minister is pretty "sexy". Can't the House reprimand the president to an extent?
2)
We get it Santorum, you think just because you're Catholic, well educated and conservative you think you're better than the rest of us. That's why I can't stand most conservatives. Many conservatives think that their logic is superior to liberals and that they are superior people in contrast to liberals. (Note this is just an opinion on my part). But still, I'm pretty liberal and I don't believe that one person is superior to another. Economically and class status, maybe, but in other areas, I don't think so. I don't think that (former) Senator Santorum could build a desktop PC and refurbish a laptop. I hope the GOP race carries on until the convention. Let them fight it out.
3) I'm trying to find proof that Kerry Kennedy endorsed her ex-husband for Governor of New York in 2010, saying that she endorsed the man who made better lasagna. That ex-husband is now our governor, Andrew Cuomo. By the way, can anyone help me find any links on the whole kabash?
